The Drywall Arrival

We took delivery of the drywall after our interior plaster was completed. We had set up the plaster mixer and sand pile and cement/lime at the bottom of our little hill, but the boom truck guy couldn't get the drywall close enough to the house with our existing set-up, so we asked that he move that stuff to get him closer. He was kind enough to oblige by using his boom to move the pallet full of cement/lime bags which got him just to the door with his boom. But there was no way we could convince him to move it back after they unloaded the drywall. That would have involved setting out his outriggers again, basically another set-up, to move someone elses stuff, and he was on the clock. Justin assured us it would not be a problem, we would either move the bags back when there were a number of bodies able to pitch in, or move the mixer. In the end, it was threatening rain on plaster day, which is great for plaster curing, but not so much fun while mixing and hauling, so we moved the mixer over closer to the car-port and tarped it over. That meant the plaster could stay where it was but we would have to move the sand pile to accommodate Deirdre not having to go to far afield to fetch sand. No worries, we have just the crew. Our shovellers were all employed by or formerly employed by the government, so they had plenty of experience shovelling "it".
Here they are hard at work. And the other picture is of our modified set-up.
