So many weeks into it and to only come upon our second goof-up is pretty good. This one involves our shower base which we purchased in May. In fact, it was the first thing we bought so that when the slab was being poured, the plumber would know where to install the drain to fit the shower. So although the dimensions were correct for the drain, the quality of the base would likely not have supported Ginger the cat, and with the drywallers arriving the next day, we were in a pickle. Several phone calls later, a late arriving drywall crew, a mad dash by Andre into Ottawa to a plumbing supply company to purchase a more appropriate base, which is larger than the original, but still miraculously fit the opening, and "poof", an hour after his return with the base, our wonderful plumber had it installed and the drywallers arrived to be able to proceed without any delays.
Home Depot gave us a store credit for the returned base, so other plumbing fitures will likely be purchased there to burn that up.
