Next comes the drywall prep

With the insulation baffles and the pink fiberglass insulation at the cathedral in place, we could vapour barrier and strap the place in preparation for the drywall. That took us the entire week. After that was done, and just in the nick of time, Andre and Justin moved onto outside prep for the plastering and D. and I started working on the tongue and groove ceiling. The drywall prep was a major pain in the butt as most of it was overhead painstaking work. With Justin spending a lot of time above the vapour barrier in the rafters, installing blocking in any of the nine-million places that it was required, (which he loves to do) Andre continued with the srapping and the corner blocking. We fretted on how to do the ceiling in the utility room, as there were several tubes and vent and pipes and wires protruding from everyplace. In the end, we just left all of those above the vapour barrier and let the drywallers worry about it, which they agreed was the best way to handle it.
